This incredible crusade was held in the city of Sihawal, Pakistan. The city, we were told, had only 200 Christians, yet we saw over 10,000 attend a single meeting. On the final night of the Crusade, the police stopped many of the buses transporting people from the remote villages because they were so overcrowded. The people were hanging out of the windows, standing on the ladders, hanging off the tops and sides…they were so hungry for the bread of life.
Pakistan in a nation that is 97% Muslim and many people questioned the wisdom of preaching openly in such a place, but in the darkness, the light of the Gospel shines the brightest. Jesus himself was there demonstrating His saving, healing and delivering power.
One man, blinded from cataracts, came forward and testified that he was scheduled for an operation on his eyes, but he decided to come to the meeting instead and during the service Dr. Jesus touched him…the cataracts fell from his eyes and he could see perfectly. He held up his appointment card from the Doctors office as a testimony to the healing power of Jesus.
A little girl, mute from birth came forward and spoke into the microphone, another little girl’s crippled hand was healed. During the alter call on the last night, demons began to manifest and before the meeting was over, deliverance had come to many people.
The greatest miracle, as always, was the salvations. At one alter call a group of Muslim women dressed in their black chadors with only their eyes showing, came forward and accepted Jesus as their saviour. In four nights of meetings, over 20,000 people received Christ…Praise the Lord! We plan to return to Pakistan early next year and we expect an even greater harvest
